Vickie J. White, 43, of Norcross, GA died October 23rd, 2007. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 26th, at Landmark Church in Norcross. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 25th, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Another service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 27th, at Mayfield Memorial Baptist Church. Internment will follow at Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens, Charlotte, NC. Ms. White, a native of Mecklenburg Co., NC was a Nurse’s Assistant at Emory Hospital. She was a member of Landmark Church and art of the Worship Team at the church. She is survived by her husband, Gary E. Wilson of Norcross, Ga; son, Wayne L. White, Jr of Salisbury, NC; daughter, Alisha Wilson of Norcross, GA; step-son, Gary Wilson of Atlanta, GA; two step-daughters, Brandy Wilson of Norcross, GA and Nicole Wilson of Kansas City, MO; father, Richard Hopkins (Madge) of Charlotte, NC; mother, Joyce Johnson of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Janelle Hopkins and Yolanda Hopkins, both of Charlotte, NC and two grandchildren, Joshua Inman of Atlanta, GA and Al’Eysha Byrd of Kansas City, MO.

Happiness.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted one of these. But other things have been consuming my time and making it difficult for me to post the dramatic events having occurred in my life the last few months. But needless to say, after a period of being down, I am definitely slowly making my way back up again.

Possibly higher than I’ve ever been. And it’s all because of happiness. I came to the realization a month or two ago that happiness is not only an emotion but a choice we make. You, yourself are the only one who has control over your happiness. The stupid factors I was letting pull me down, are all things that are now so minor & should not have had so much control over me as a person or MY happiness. Happiness comes from within, it resides in you, you create it.

I hate when people feel like they can not be happy without another person or without a certain items. If you can not be happy with just yourself, you will not be happy any place else. We as humans so selfishly take EVERYTHING for granted. We let the small things determine our happiness. A bad day sucks, but be happy at the fact that you were able to wake up, have that bad day & make it through that bad day to complain about. It’s all a matter of determining the worth of things & choosing battles worth fighting.

Don’t let small, irrelevant situation hinder your happiness.

Just be happy :)
